This cover was designed by the british artist Tyler Remikie. he had previously made the cover of Dave's previous album Psychodrama. My favorite song of this album is “Both Sides of A Smile” ft James Blake and Enny. This cover is inspired by the painting of the famous French painter Claude Monet, which is called "Impression, rising sun" made in 1872. On the cover of Dave it is difficult to distinguish two human forms on a bat. His 2 people are Dave and his mother. Indeed, Dave's mother is mentioned many times in the album. According to the artist without his mother he would not have had this career. Concerning the used colors, the most attractive part of the work is the sky blue sun in the background, which creates a rippling reflection on the water. The sky blue color represents trust and understanding.
