This cover was created by Matthew Stone in the creative direction of Matthew Josephs.My favorite track in this project is "Sad day". The cover illustration features the character of "MAGDELENE" from this album, showing a distortion of FKA Twings. The stylistic approach of this cover could be a reference to the style of paintings seen in the Mary Magdalene era. The album cover is reminiscent of Twigs' first album, LP1, but with the character looking the other way, and a ponytail braid in the shape of a snake, perhaps referencing the Bible. For me, this is one of the most beautiful album covers of 2019.
